On the 12th, information technology (IT) security and authentication platform corporation Raonsecure announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with pet tech corporation Uyeon Company for a project involving digital identity verification and issuance for pets.
Uyeon Company is a leading domestic pet tech corporation that provides pet authentication and data-driven services. It has established the infrastructure 'Dr. Clooney' to cover pet identity registration, authentication, and utilization. Currently, it is working to expand pet-related services in cooperation with various institutions and corporations, including finance, public sector, and healthcare.
Through this agreement, the two parties plan to jointly promote the issuance of digital identity cards for pets provided by Uyeon Company using Raonsecure's 'OmniOne digital ID.' Additionally, they will also provide various badge issuances related to pets utilizing the 'OmniOne Badge' service.
Additionally, pet owners and their pets will be able to enjoy various services through these digital certification methods, including ▲ access to pet playgrounds in 17 local governments nationwide ▲ use of subscription services for pet-related products ▲ benefits for enrolling in pet insurance.
'OmniOne digital ID' is an integrated platform for identity and credential verification developed by Raonsecure based on blockchain technology. Offered in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) format, it allows for the issuance of digital identities and credentials without the need for separate system installations. It is currently being utilized in various educational and public institutions, including college student IDs, International Student Identity Cards (ISIC), sports certification, and private qualifications associations, and is expanding into areas such as the issuance of digital IDs for healthcare professionals based on decentralized identity (DID).
'OmniOne Badge' applies blockchain technology that is difficult to tamper with, providing highly reliable digital credentialing. It is currently expanding its market share through numerous projects including university admission certificates, degree certificates, artificial intelligence (AI) private certifications, and e-portfolios.
Park Jong-moon, head of the service business division at Raonsecure, noted, 'Through the agreement with Uyeon Company, we have expanded the application range of blockchain-based digital ID technology from people to include the identity verification of animals.' He added, 'We will continue to expand the digital ID-based ecosystem and lead innovations in certification and credentialing throughout society.'
