Dr. Diary and Bank Salad will carry out new pilot projects for this year's 'My Data Comprehensive Infrastructure Development Project' promoted by the government. These corporations plan to develop a homomorphic encryption-based credit evaluation system for small businesses and personalized health management services.

The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Data Agency announced on the 11th that they have finalized the selection of five new pilot projects for this year's 'My Data Comprehensive Infrastructure Development Project.' Dr. Diary, Bank Salad, the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency, OKPOS, and BizData will each participate as lead institutions for their respective projects.

The My Data Comprehensive Infrastructure Development Project is being promoted to establish an ecosystem for providing personalized services based on data. It focuses on creating an environment where information subjects can manage and utilize their own information generated through various activities to create various added values. The Ministry of Science and ICT has supported the development of a total of 39 My Data services in the fields of healthcare, finance, and transportation since 2019.

This year, a new project in the 'community sector' (a total of 2 projects at 650 million won each) has been established. The Ministry of Science and ICT explained that it is a structure in which information subjects voluntarily provide their data through communities organized around common interests and receive corresponding personalized benefits and rewards.

An 'general sector' project (a total of 3 projects at 500 million won each) aimed at discovering and supporting innovation services based on My Data in various industries will also be carried out simultaneously. A total of 25 consortiums (with participation from 90 corporations) applied for this public offering, recording a competition ratio of 5 to 1.

Dr. Diary will develop a system that provides personalized health management services by analyzing individual life log data based on chronic disease communities such as diabetes patient groups. By utilizing this, users can receive services like health reports, diet and exercise coaching, and connections with healthcare professionals, and they can also use points for purchasing health products.

The Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency will provide customized programs for participants in community facilities like youth training centers by analyzing data such as ▲activity history ▲competency assessment ▲certifications to offer experiences in majors and jobs, as well as mentoring, based on career and educational paths.

Bank Salad plans to collaborate with credit assessment agencies to safely analyze sales and financial data of small businesses based on homomorphic encryption technology. Through this, it will develop services that link alternative credit assessments with customized financial products to enhance the lending potential of small businesses in financial blind spots.

Additionally, BizData has taken on the project of 'corporate My Data utilization policy financing matching service,' and OKPOS is responsible for the project of 'My Data-based small business AI management service.'

Kim Kyung-man, director of the AI-based policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT said, "To activate the My Data industry, it is essential to have a structure based on trust that personal data is being safely transmitted and utilized, allowing information subjects to voluntarily provide their data and receive appropriate rewards," adding, "The selected projects are expected to present new models where information subjects are not passive beneficiaries but active participants in services."
