AhnLab recently announced that as the complexity of security operations increases with the expansion of cloud-native environments, it has added a new security lineup to its cloud workload security platform 'AhnLab CPP (Cloud Protection Platform)' that supports Kubernetes clusters and serverless pod environments.

With this enhancement, AhnLab launched an anti-malware solution optimized for the Kubernetes environment, 'Anti-malware for Container,' and implemented a host-based intrusion detection and prevention system (Host IDS·IPS), expanding security coverage for both the optimized deployment and inspection methods in Kubernetes environments and serverless environments.

As a result, 'AhnLab CPP' provides an integrated protection system that can protect and operate various infrastructure environments, such as containers and serverless, in a consistent manner from a single management server. Customers can set up and operate container security in the same way as the existing CPP without separate training, thus maintaining continuity in security operations.

Kim Chang-hee, Deputy Minister of Product Planning at AhnLab, noted, 'As the transition to container-centric infrastructure and the lightweight execution environment accelerate, AhnLab CPP has further strengthened the security system suitable for various cloud environments. I expect that customers will be able to maintain consistency in their security operations and enhance their threat response capabilities even in changing environments.'
