Samsung Electronics announced on the 8th that it has applied Corning's new mobile glass ceramic 'Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2' to the front display of the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 is a high-strength glass ceramic that combines glass and crystals, providing improved strength while maintaining high optical transparency. Samsung has optimized this and integrated it into the S25 Edge, adding robustness to the thinnest Galaxy S series ever.

Additionally, the durability of the display cover has been enhanced through an ion exchange method. Samsung Electronics MX Business Division Vice President Bae Kwang-jin noted, 'The Galaxy S25 Edge has set a new standard for craftsmanship and performance, reflecting cutting-edge technology and a user-centered philosophy for an innovative product experience.'

Andrew Beck, Vice President of Corning's Mobile Consumer Electronics Division, stated, 'By applying Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, we offer premium design and performance, demonstrating the collaborative intent between Samsung and Corning.' Samsung and Corning have maintained their partnership for over 50 years and have applied Gorilla Glass to the Galaxy S series.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is set to unveil its product features and detailed specifications at 9 a.m. on the 13th through Samsung Electronics' newsroom and Samsung.com.
