Nexon announced on the 9th that the finals of its online FPS game 'Sudden Attack's' official e-sports tournament '2025 Sudden Attack Championship Season 1' will kick off on the 10th.
The tournament will be held every Saturday at 5 p.m. until June 28, with the finals taking place at the Samsung Freak Up Studio and the championship match at Jamsil DN Coliseum. The online live broadcast can be viewed on the official 'Sudden Attack' 'SOOP' channel and YouTube channel.
With a total prize pool of 60 million won, this season will follow an 8-team double elimination format, with each match played in a best-of-three format, while the losers' bracket final and championship will be best-of-five. The first set fixed map will be 'Duo Rick,' and popular maps such as 'Dragon Road,' 'Crossport,' 'City Cat,' and 'Third Supply Depot' will also be used.
The opening match will feature a showdown between the defending champion 'FinF' and the royal road contender 'Earthwack.' In the following second set, 'Lunatic,' comprised of players from the runner-up of the 2024 Season 1 'Reaper,' will face 'Iramos,' a team returning to the finals after several years.
Nexon has prepared various events for both on-site spectators and online live stream viewers. On-site visitors can receive 'Nexon Cash,' 'SP,' 'containers,' and 'key cards,' with rewards expanded during the opening match and finals. Online live stream viewers will receive 'drops' rewards based on cumulative viewing time and rewards for participating in prediction contests, along with commemorative coupons released during an 'all kill' situation.
