Samsung Electronics has begun an organizational restructuring by establishing an 'AI Productivity Innovation Group' within the Device Experience (DX) institutional sector to enhance productivity based on artificial intelligence (AI). This new organization marks the start of a push towards becoming an 'AI Driven Company.'

According to industry sources on the 8th, Samsung Electronics announced an organizational restructuring centered on the establishment of the dedicated AI Productivity Innovation organization on the company's internal bulletin board that morning.

First, an 'AI Productivity Innovation Group' will be established under the Management Innovation Center. The AI Productivity Innovation Group will serve as a control tower, leading the company's AI productivity innovation by supporting the establishment of infrastructural and system frameworks for AI utilization, as well as the dissemination of best practices.

A new 'AI Productivity Innovation Office' will also be established in each business unit. The office is planning to discover and implement customized AI innovation projects optimized for each business's characteristics, and will lead the entire process of problem-solving and performance generation utilizing AI.

The 'AI Crew' system will also be introduced to strengthen AI execution capabilities. The AI Crew, operating with a scale of about 300 members, will take on the role of a 'vanguard' to lead the discovery and execution of on-site AI projects while fostering an 'AI boom' within the company. It is already reported that recruitment for the AI Crew has begun at the business unit level.

Additionally, the AI training system for employees will be further enhanced. In addition to basic AI training, advanced courses will be offered to support employees in directly developing AI services, contributing to business innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of products and services.
