NHN Link announced on the 2nd that the Broadway production of the musical "Maybe Happy Ending," in which it invested, has been nominated for a total of 14 categories at major award ceremonies, including the Tony Awards and the Drama League Awards.
"Maybe Happy Ending" has been nominated for 10 awards, including best musical, direction, book, music (composition and lyrics), orchestration (arrangement), best actor in a musical, set design, costume design, lighting design, and sound design at the 78th Tony Awards. It has also received nominations in 4 categories, including best production, direction, and acting in the musical sector at the Drama League Awards.
This work is a domestically created musical set in a futuristic Seoul, depicting the story of a helper bot named Oliver and Claire, who develop feelings for each other. After its domestic premiere in 2016, it opened as a Broadway production at the Belasco Theatre in Manhattan, New York, in November 2023.
Receiving a great response in the local area, it recorded weekly ticket sales of $1,019,324 and an average seat occupancy rate of 99.52% as of the fourth week of December 2024. Due to its high popularity, the performance has already been confirmed to be extended until January 17, 2026.
