Nvidia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang's base salary will rise for the first time in 10 years.
On the 1st (local time), CNBC and others reported that according to documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), CEO Huang's base salary has increased by 49% compared to 2024, reaching $1.5 million (21.56 billion won).
Cash compensation, which varies based on company performance or individual performance, rose by 50% to $1 million. Stock compensation increased to $38.8 million. Total compensation reached $49.9 million (7.17 billion won).
Nvidia stated that it deemed this appropriate considering the equity of base salaries among other corporate executives, noting, 'This is CEO Huang's first base salary increase in 10 years.'
CEO Huang's compensation this year also included $3.5 million for housing security and consulting expenses and chauffeur services. Last year, these expenses amounted to $2.2 million.
