Jobis & Villains, which operates Samjeomsam, announced on the 30th that it will present an 'artificial intelligence (AI)-based personalized tax service' in time for the May income tax filing season.
The 'AI personalization service' is one of the projects prepared by Samjeomsam ahead of the income tax report. It trains on over 12.2 million accumulated refund claim data through a large language model (LLM) to categorize customer characteristics by occupation, income, gender, and age group, applying personalized tax analysis logic. Depending on the customer’s situation, up to 4,608 individuals will see different screens.
The first introduction of corrective claims was made for optimal individual deductions. Since its launch in 2020, Samjeomsam has focused on service advancement, aiming for maximum individual refunds with this corrective claim. It applies various deduction items such as monthly rent tax credit and small business employment reduction, shortening document review time to within 30 seconds through AI analysis. Starting from the 2025 tax return, the marriage tax credit has also been newly added. Human deductions such as dependents have been further refined.
A tax payment service was also newly incorporated. It aims to provide a one-stop service that allows for reporting, refunds, and payments all at once, targeting completion of the income tax. It also operates an advertising platform (TA service) that connects tax accountants with Samjeomsam.
The customer-first assurance refund system will be implemented again this year. Users can check their refund claim history through the Samjeomsam app, and Samjeomsam takes full responsibility for the customer's refund journey. Last May, during the income tax reporting period, 2.11 million customers used Samjeomsam.
Jeong Yong-soo, CEO of Jobis & Villains, noted, 'We introduced AI personalization services to create a more accurate and convenient platform,' adding, 'Through customized deduction items and corrective claims, we will do our best during the filing season so that customers can receive more refunds and enjoy a pleasant refund experience.'
