Samsung Display announced on the 29th that it is preparing to create a brand identity (BI) for its 'QD-OLED' technology, which is primarily used in premium TVs and monitor products.
The new BI visualizes the first letter 'Q' of QD-OLED, incorporating blue, which symbolizes blue OLED, and a gradient that represents the wide color spectrum unique to QD-OLED.
Launched at the end of 2021, QD-OLED has been installed in over 170 TV and monitor products from 18 global brands, including Samsung Electronics, Sony, Dell, MSI, Asus, and HP, based on superior picture quality characteristics compared to existing OLED.
QD-OLED currently supports the widest color gamut among commercially available displays and is recognized for accurately expressing the colors as intended by content creators.
Samsung Display plans to actively engage in technology branding by collaborating with various global customers, showcasing the new BI at domestic and international exhibitions, and applying the BI to the packaging of finished goods.
A representative from Samsung Display noted, 'We plan to convey the differentiated technological value of QD-OLED to customers and consumers by expressing its superior picture quality characteristics through the BI.'
