Google Korea announced on the 22nd that it has appointed Vice President Hwang Seong-hye as the head of external cooperation policy.
Vice President Hwang Seong-hye will oversee external cooperation and policy work at Google Korea and plans to strengthen communication with the government and industry based on her 30 years of expertise in external policy and communication from working in media companies and global healthcare corporations.
Vice President Hwang oversaw government health-care policy work in the medical, pharmaceutical, vision, and consumer health institutional sectors at Johnson & Johnson Korea. Previously, she led external cooperation and pricing insurance work at Pfizer Korea, where she contributed to improving patient access and quality of life through collaboration with various stakeholders.
Google Korea stated, "We welcome Vice President Hwang Seong-hye, who has extensive expertise in external cooperation and a deep understanding of the industry, and we expect her to play a pivotal role in Google’s external policy activities through cooperation with the government and industry going forward."
Vice President Hwang noted, "I am pleased to join Google’s sustainable growth journey," and added, "I will do my best to strengthen communication with various stakeholders and ensure that Google’s technology has a positive impact on Korean society as a whole."
