LG Electronics announced on the 21st that it will supply LG Miracle Class to the MegaBox COEX branch in Gangnam, Seoul.
LG Electronics has installed LG Miracle Class in two screening rooms and started operating the 'MEGA ǀ LED' special room, with plans to increase the total to three by the end of this month. The company also plans to add LG Miracle Class to the newly opened MegaBox Gu's Eastpol branch in Gwangjin-gu.
LG Miracle Class is a portmanteau of 'miracle' and 'class,' meaning 'a wonderful viewing experience.' With 4K resolution and self-emitting pixels that improve contrast ratio and color reproduction, it enhances immersion by presenting the entire screen at a uniform brightness.
Brightness can be adjusted in five levels, from a suitable 48 nits for movie screenings to a maximum of 300 nits, based on the standard that the screening room lights are turned off. It is suitable not only for brighter 3D movie screenings than regular 2D films but also for conferences and previews held with the lights on.
MegaBox plans to actively utilize LG Miracle Class not only for movie screenings but also for various events conducted in theaters. At the preview of the movie 'Opposition' held on the 15th, an interview with the on-site cast was broadcast live on the screen.
LG Electronics commercialized Cinema LED for the first time in 2020 and launched the Cinema LED brand LG Miracle Class in 2023. It supplies cinema solutions to over 20 screening rooms in more than 10 countries globally, including the United States at the Merrill Strip Center, Spain, Taiwan, France, and Thailand. LG Miracle Class is also expected to be installed in Australia and Morocco by the first half of this year.
Oh Seung-jin, head of MS marketing at LG Electronics' Korea Sales Headquarters, noted, "We will provide domestic movie fans with this viewing experience, which is receiving favorable reviews among global movie fans through LG Miracle Class."
