A survey found that the usage of mobile messages sent by domestic corporations to consumers increased by 125% compared to the previous year.

On the 21st, the cloud communication platform corporation Infobip revealed this information through its '2025 Messaging Trends Report,' which analyzed over 53 billion interactions between corporations and consumers last year. The expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) technology was cited as the background for the increase in mobile message usage.

The usage of KakaoTalk messages increased by 56% compared to the previous year in the domestic corporations messaging sector. Global usage rose by 65%. Infobip noted that 'KakaoTalk is still used as a major messaging channel for corporations to customers in the country, and 87% of the global KakaoTalk message usage comes from domestic brands and consumers.'

AI chatbots and automation technologies are actively being adopted, particularly in the finance and insurance sectors. They have been found to be utilized in areas such as personalized customer responses, real-time support, and fraud prevention.

Consumers in the Asia-Pacific region are strongly inclined to prefer messaging channels that align with their own culture and sentiments. In Vietnam, the local messaging channel Zalo accounts for 63% of interactive messaging, while in Thailand, Taiwan, and Singapore, Line comprises 98% of total messaging usage.
