Epic Games' Korean subsidiary, Epic Games Korea, announced on the 21st that it will kick off "Let's start Twinmotion & Unreal 2025" from the 23rd.
"Let's start Twinmotion & Unreal 2025" is a tutorial-style webinar for beginners using Twinmotion and Unreal Engine, catering to those either new to the programs or who have not yet mastered them. It will take place every Wednesday at 2 p.m. from April 23 to May 28 over six weeks at the Epic Lounge.
This "Let's start Twinmotion & Unreal 2025" aims to teach the fundamental concepts and workflows of creating interactive 3D content using Twinmotion and Unreal Engine, culminating in the final output of the projects.
Weeks 1 to 3 of the webinar will cover everything from importing modeling files using Twinmotion to setting up environments and implementing interactions. The first week will focus on "Getting Started with Twinmotion," exploring Twinmotion and its basic UI, importing sample modeling files for exhibition spaces, and explaining the setup of exterior environments.
In the second week, the topic "Setting Up Exhibition Spaces in Twinmotion" will include explanations on lighting and mapping for interior design, rendering using Lumen and the Path Tracer, and how to compose scenes by importing product modeling files. The third week, "Enhancing Visualization and Interactions in Twinmotion," will involve learning about implementing interactions through configuration features, rapid visualization using HDRI backdrop visualization tools, and how to output results in formats like images, videos, and local presentation executables.
Weeks 4 to 6 of the webinar will introduce elements applying Metahumans and Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) using Twinmotion projects within Unreal Engine. The fourth week will focus on "Bringing Twinmotion Projects into Unreal Engine," where participants will learn about Unreal Engine, Datasmith import, and how to automatically convert materials using Data Prep.
In the fifth week, the session "Showcasing Products in Real Time Using Unreal Engine" will explain how to create Metahumans, explore exhibition spaces, and interact with products and environments in real time. During the sixth week, in "Setting Up Interactive Configurators in Unreal Engine," participants will learn how to display product information with UMG, swap materials, and add animation to products using Sequencer.
Anyone interested in creating interactive 3D content, regardless of their major, including students and working professionals, can register for free. Epic Games aims to enhance participants' understanding by issuing weekly challenges to ensure they fully grasp the course content, and participants will be able to communicate live with speakers and the community through Q&A sessions and chat.
Moreover, viewers who watch the entire webinar each week will be automatically entered into a "viewing campaign" to win Twinmotion and Unreal Engine merchandise. Every week, there will also be a "challenge" that offers limited-edition merchandise to attendees who complete the challenges issued. Additionally, there will be events like "Challenge Weekly Picks" and "Challenge Completion Events."
