Naver has acquired Yanolja F&B Solutions, which operates restaurant solutions such as table order. This is not only expected to strengthen the integration with Naver services in the Korean market but also to foresee business potential in the Japanese market.

According to the information technology (IT) industry on the 20th, Naver recently acquired 100% equity of Yanolja F&B Solutions. It is understood that Naver acquired Yanolja F&B Solutions through its local corporation, Naver J.Hub Corporation. Yanolja offers various solutions that digitalize customer management and ordering at dining establishments, including the main services such as 'Dodo Point', which supports point accumulation and marketing, 'Ya Order', which allows menu ordering via QR code, and 'Now Waiting', which manages customer queues.

As of 2023, the revenue was 6.3 billion won, with an operating loss of 8.3 billion won, continuing a deficit that had led Yanolja to put itself up for sale last year. The transaction amount for this acquisition is estimated to be around 10 billion won.

Given that Naver operates a variety of small business solutions together with its mapping service 'Naver Map', it is understood that the company aims to seek synergy with Yanolja F&B in services targeting small businesses based on its platform. Furthermore, as the acquisition was conducted through its Japanese subsidiary, there is also a possibility of entering the digital transformation solutions market for the restaurant industry not only in Korea but also in Japan.
