KT Cloud announced on the 18th that it has formed a strategic partnership with Upstage, Dinoticsia, Polaris Office, and Rebellion for the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Foundry' business.

Through this collaboration, the five companies will cooperate in their respective areas of expertise, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), AI models, and inference infrastructure. In the areas essential for RAG implementation, such as ▲parsing and OCR, Polaris Office and Upstage will collaborate, while Upstage will handle the ▲embedding model area, and Dinoticsia will work in the ▲vector databases area to advance the AI Foundry business.

In terms of AI models, various open-source models such as Llama 4 Scout, Mistral 7B, and Solar are expected to be linked. Furthermore, the inference infrastructure farm for the AI Foundry will not only utilize NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs) but will also apply the neural processing units (NPUs) from Rebellion, with which KT Cloud has collaborated for a long time.

KT Cloud is expected to unveil a customer-participation pilot program in the second quarter ahead of the official launch of the AI Foundry service.
