Samsung Electronics has ranked first in the global gaming monitor market for six consecutive years.

According to market research firm IDC on the 17th, Samsung Electronics has taken the lead in the global gaming monitor market (with a refresh rate of 144Hz or higher) in 2024 with a market share of 21.0% in terms of revenue. LG Electronics follows with 13.1%, and Taiwan's AOC comes in third with 10.9%.

Samsung Electronics is praised for leading the gaming monitor market with new products like the Odyssey Ark, Odyssey OLED, and Odyssey 3D, as well as for its world-first technology.

In the North American gaming monitor market, one of the largest markets, Samsung Electronics also achieved its highest-ever performance, securing the top position. Samsung Electronics' market share was 27.5%, followed by LG Electronics at 18.7% and Taiwan's ASUS at 11.5%.

At the end of March, Samsung Electronics invited major North American transaction partners to Fairmont Austin in Texas to showcase a large new lineup, including the Odyssey 3D, Odyssey OLED G8, and Odyssey G9.

Samsung Electronics also achieved first place in the global OLED monitor market for the second consecutive year in 2024. Samsung Electronics holds a 34.6% market share, while LG Electronics has 21.0%, indicating that domestic corporations account for more than half of the total market share.

Last year, OLED monitor shipments reached 1.24 million units, growing by more than 16 times compared to two years ago in 2022. Previously, Samsung Electronics had strengthened its OLED monitor lineup by introducing the new Odyssey OLED G8 in 27-inch and 32-inch models.
