On the 16th, Samsung SDS stated that it held a seminar titled 'Preparing for the Future of Manufacturing: Samsung SDS Industry Day' at the Jamsil Sky 31 Convention, presenting the direction for digital innovation in the manufacturing sector.
At this event, over 300 IT representatives from manufacturing corporations attended and showed great interest in various Samsung SDS digital transformation cases, including ▲AI agents ▲manufacturing ERP innovation ▲field innovation based on Private 5G ▲AI-based digital purchasing (SRM).
Samsung SDS shared real case applications of manufacturing-focused solutions, including generative artificial intelligence (AI), ERP, MES, PLM, and OT security, along with its hyperautomation strategy. Notably, it introduced AI agents as key technologies for hyperautomation, presenting case studies of their actual application in manufacturing sites.
It also emphasized that security threats in the manufacturing industry are increasing with the spread of smart factories and the expansion of IoT and 5G networks. Samsung SDS introduced OT security strategies for protecting production facilities that operate 24 hours a day and measures to respond to cyber attacks, explaining the importance of security solutions.
Additionally, it shared overseas IT development and operation cases through the Global Development Center, revealing that the same level of quality and security system is applied in countries such as China, Vietnam, and India.
Lee Jeong-heon, head of the strategic marketing office at Samsung SDS, noted that 'Samsung SDS Industry Day is an event designed to share and present solutions to customers' concerns regarding the use of generative AI and hyperautomation strategies.'
