The country's largest reading platform, Millie's library, announced on the 15th that it will introduce 'Millie Place,' a service that connects online and offline while linking reading with spaces and people.

Millie Place is an offline service designed to seamlessly integrate reading into daily life. It represents a significant attempt to extend the 'borderless reading life' that Millie's library has pursued into the offline realm. It will start with 40 partner cafes nationwide, aiming to expand to 100 by the end of the year.

Millie's library has established a reading environment where subscribers can access books anytime and anywhere, based on the service 'Millie Pairing,' which links e-books and paper books. However, it noted the lack of offline touchpoints that allow for the continuous flow of reading, despite the high accessibility of e-books. To address this issue, Millie's library introduced the Millie Place service to ensure that the reading experience does not break off offline.

Subscribers can enjoy beverage discounts, limited edition goods, and membership exclusive subscription benefits at Millie Place partner cafes. They can also participate in various offline community programs, including author lectures, reading talks, and interest-based book clubs.

Kim Tae-hyung, head of new business division at Millie's library, said, 'I expect Millie Place to expand into various lifestyle spaces such as multi-cultural centers, art museums, and hotels, allowing reading to deeply settle into daily life beyond personal habits, connecting culture with people and relationships.' He added, 'As we have selected cafes suitable for reading through Millie's library, we will continue to propose good spaces while adhering to these standards in the future.'
