LG Electronics recently announced on the 14th that it was selected as the 'Best Creativity Team' at GM's 33rd Supplier of the Year Awards held in Arizona, USA.
GM evaluates suppliers' performance in purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and logistics each year, selecting those that contribute to the company's business results as well as to implementing core values and vision as 'Supplier of the Year.'
LG Electronics has been selected as 'Supplier of the Year' a total of seven times from 2014 to this year, receiving the 'Overdrive Award' in 2016, 2022, and 2023 for its excellent quality that contributed to performance creation in global purchasing and supply chain operations.
Regarding customer service and after-sales service (AS) parts supply, LG Electronics has received the 'On-Time Delivery Award' for three consecutive years since 2023. LG Electronics achieved an on-time delivery rate of 99% for service parts supplied to GM in North America, earning a Gold Award last March, marking the second time. Last year, it achieved a 100% on-time delivery rate for parts supplied to GM Korea and Brazil, earning a Platinum Award.
LG Electronics is actively responding to market and customer needs for the transition to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), enhancing products and technologies across key hardware and software components such as in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), telematics, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Through this, LG Electronics is also strengthening its telematics business, a core component of SDVs. According to its own estimates based on data from market research firm Strategy Analytics, LG Electronics secured the top position globally in the telematics market with a 24.4% share last year.
