Samsung Electronics announced on the 10th that the domestic sales of home general air conditioners, including standing, wall-mounted, and window types, increased by 51% year-on-year in the first quarter of this year.
Last month, the sales of Samsung Electronics' home general air conditioners increased by 61% compared to the same period last year. In particular, the sales of standing air conditioners increased by about 80%.
Kim Yong-hoon, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, 'With the intense heat approaching, the sales of air conditioners in the first quarter are showing unprecedented high demand due to customer demand to purchase air conditioners in advance.'
To timely respond to the increased customer demand, Samsung Electronics began full operation of its air conditioner production lines more than 10 days earlier than last year and is operating a dedicated air conditioner installation team of about 4,700 people early and expandedly, allowing customers to receive air conditioner installations quickly.
Samsung Electronics unveiled its entire lineup of AI air conditioner new products, including the 2025 Bespoke AI Wind-Free Combo Gallery, last month.
The new products are equipped with various consumer-customized AI functions, such as 'AI Comfort,' which creates a pleasant environment automatically, and 'AI Energy Saving Mode,' which reduces energy consumption by up to 30%.
To celebrate the launch of the new air conditioners, Samsung Electronics is running the 'Wind-Free, No Defeat' promotional event, offering various benefits, including cashback of up to 500,000 won or Samsung Electronics membership points.
