Sparrow announced on the 8th that it has been selected as a supplier for the '2025 Small and Medium Enterprise Cloud Service Dissemination and Expansion Project' and will provide the SaaS-based security solution 'Sparrow Cloud.'

The project, guided by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency, is a government support program aimed at promoting the adoption of cloud services by small and medium enterprises and enhancing their competitiveness. Sparrow has participated as a supplier for six consecutive years, helping small and medium enterprises struggling with security management to strengthen software supply chain security.

Sparrow Cloud is a cloud-based service that allows users to utilize source code analysis (SAST), open source analysis (SCA), and web vulnerability analysis (DAST) functions with just a registration, without any additional installation. Through the GitHub integration feature, users can analyze stored code and receive support for vulnerability responses with security vulnerability diagnostic guides compliant with major regulations.

Additionally, it automatically generates software bill of materials (SBOM) and supports international standards such as SPDX and CycloneDX, as well as the National Intelligence Service's NIS-SBOM format, allowing it to meet diverse requirements. This ensures visibility of software components and enables rapid responses to supply chain threats.

Small and medium enterprises wishing to adopt Sparrow Cloud through this project can submit applications via the cloud service support portal until April 18, and if selected as recipient enterprises, the government will support 80% of the usage fees.

Jang Il-soo, CEO of Sparrow, said, “We will actively support small and medium enterprises struggling with a lack of security expertise and budget to strengthen software supply chain security and enhance their digital competitiveness through Sparrow Cloud.”
