Apple announced on the 1st that it will begin offering the artificial intelligence (AI) service Apple Intelligence Korean language feature and the 'Find My' service for domestic users.
On that day, Apple explained that it supports eight new languages, including Korean, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (simplified), and regional English for Singapore and India.
Users can use the Apple Intelligence 'writing tool' to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text, or they can use the 'smart reply' feature to respond to messages with a single tap. Additionally, users can remove distracting elements in photos using the 'cleanup' feature, and they will not miss urgent communications through 'priority notifications.'
The 'Visual Intelligence' based on Apple Intelligence allows the iPhone to instantly grasp information about its surroundings. Moreover, the writing tool and Siri are integrated with ChatGPT, enabling users to reference expert knowledge without needing to switch between various apps. The 'writing tool,' integrated into iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, helps users rewrite, proofread, and summarize text across most locations where text creation is possible, including Mail, Messages, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps.
The rewriting feature of Apple Intelligence adjusts the content written by users to fit the reader and the task's appropriate tone, allowing users to choose their preferred version from styles such as 'professionally,' 'concisely,' or 'friendlily.' The proofreading tool checks grammar, words, and sentence structure, suggesting editing directions along with explanations. Users can review or quickly apply these suggestions. Users can select text to view summaries in formats like easy-to-understand paragraphs, bullet points, tables, or lists.
In addition to the options for rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text with the writing tool, users can specify changes in detail using the 'description of changes' feature. This feature offers flexibility and control, helping users add dynamic words to their resumes or rewrite dinner party invitations in poetry form, enhancing expressiveness in their writing.
If unwanted objects or individuals are included in a photo frame, users can use the 'cleanup' tool in the Photos app to remove distractions while preserving the moment they wanted to capture.
With this update, the domestic 'Find My' feature will also be expanded. Users in South Korea will now be able to use the Find My app to check the location of their Apple devices and personal items on a map and share their location with family and friends.
