Devsisters announced on the 31st that it released the collaboration song 'DADA' in collaboration with AKMU to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the mobile running game 'Cookie Run' on the 30th.
This song was produced to convey a message of support for the journey of Cookie Run, which has been running together for 12 years from 2013 to 2025. It is a pop genre based on AKMU's unique lively band sound, with lyrics and composition by AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk.
Lee Chan-hyuk reinterpreted the core element of Cookie Run, 'running', as the emotion of 'love'. He communicated philosophical messages in everyday language, such as 'What is love? It's just running to you' and 'What is running? It's just loving you.'
Reflecting the image of cookies in Cookie Run running along jelly lines, the idea of running towards a loved one is expressed with the repetitive onomatopoeia 'dadadada'. Lyrics utilizing game items and abilities, such as 'Even if I set fire to my soles' and 'Even if lightning strikes, it's tiring', also stand out.
The inserted game sounds enhance the listening experience, and AKMU's Lee Su-hyun's refreshing vocals and catchy melody heightened the completeness of the song.
'DADA' music video released alongside includes stories of various people, including AKMU. The AKMU version music video is also set to be released on the 2nd.
Devsisters stated, 'Starting with this project, we plan to continuously introduce a 'music collaboration project' combined with music to promote the diverse charm of Cookie Run.'
