Nexon announced on the 28th that its subsidiary Neople has officially released the hardcore action RPG title “First Berserker: Khazan” globally.
“Khazan” is a single package title for PC (Steam) and console (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S), based on the “Dungeon & Fighter” universe. The company explained that its sophisticated action and 3D cell animation graphics, combined with a revenge-driven story, enhance immersion. Through performance optimization, it offers comfortable gameplay and has surpassed 1 million downloads for its global demo.
Since its early access on the 25th, it has received an “overwhelmingly positive” rating on Steam, ranking 4th in global revenue and 1st in the ARPG (action RPG) genre, while also earning a score of 80 on Metacritic, reflecting positive reviews.
Players can become the protagonist “Khazan” and lead the revenge tale, enjoying combat that utilizes weapon and skill combinations across a total of 40 missions, with endings that vary based on choices.
The official release version includes updates that have improved the gameplay environment, such as adjusting the difficulty of boss monsters, modifying skill balance by weapon type, and enhancing buffs in “easy” mode, based on user feedback.
Nexon has released a new trailer featuring the combat scenes of the enhanced “Khazan” with the unpublished boss and “Blade Phantom” on its official YouTube channel, and also unveiled the key visual for “Ozma” for the first time.
Yoon Myung-jin, the Neople producer, noted, “We have gone through numerous tests, feedback analyses, and revisions to realize the unique action of ‘Khazan,’ and I feel a great sense of renewal to present a high-quality hardcore action RPG that can meet the expectations of global users.”
To celebrate the launch, Nexon will showcase 38 types of official merchandise for “Khazan” at the “DNF Universe Store” and will hold a special discount event for two weeks until April 13. Additionally, starting at 12 p.m. on this day, the OST album will be released on domestic and international music sites, featuring a total of 22 tracks, including an ending theme song in collaboration with the global music production team 2WEI.
