SK C&C announced on the 19th that it will expand its domestic and international AI manufacturing business based on an artificial intelligence (AI) logistics system.
The existing logistics system operated by following a predetermined route and preplanned procedures, making it difficult to respond immediately to changes in production schedules or unexpected logistics demands.
According to the company, SK C&C's system analyzes real-time production data in conjunction with autonomous mobile robots (AMR), automatically adjusts optimal logistics routes, and maximizes efficiency.
SK C&C explained that this could increase logistics processing speeds by more than 50% and improve efficiency in sorting and loading items by more than 20%.
SK C&C plans to expand the application of its AI logistics system beyond the domestic market to global manufacturing factories in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. SK C&C also intends to integrate real-time data monitoring and digital twin technology with the AI logistics system to enhance the level of integrated optimization in production and logistics.
