LG Electronics announced on the 12th that it will participate in the world's largest accessibility conference, "CSUN AT 2025," held in Anaheim, California, for four days starting on the 11th (local time) to introduce accessibility enhancement technologies and products.

"CSUN AT" is an assistive technology event hosted by California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and LG Electronics is the first among global home appliance corporations to participate in this event. Global big tech companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft participate in this event every year to showcase accessibility features.

LG Electronics will set up a solo exhibition booth at the event and introduce various solutions to help customers with disabilities or seniors use products conveniently. A notable example is a new kiosk product equipped with height-adjustable features and tactile keypads. The new product is designed so that wheelchair users or customers of shorter stature can easily adjust the height of the kiosk screen to their eye level simply by pressing a button.

In addition, LG Electronics showcased various solutions that enhance user experience by simply attaching accessories to home appliances and updating software (SW). The "LG Comfort Kit," which helps users easily operate appliances regardless of gender, age, or disability status, and the "LG ThinQ On," which supports easy usage by controlling appliances with voice, attracted interest from visitors. Features such as "voice menu reading" and "simultaneous listening with hearing aids and speakers" included in OLED TVs also drew attention, according to LG Electronics.

During the "CSUN AT 2025" period, LG Electronics will hold a conference inviting corporations and academic experts, as well as disability organizations, on topics including AI home and universal design. This is an opportunity to discuss ways to create a more convenient environment by addressing points where users experience inconvenience.

This conference is expected to be attended by the Shepherd Center, North America's largest rehabilitation research center, the American Council of the Blind, media accessibility specialists, and UC Berkeley. They will share professional knowledge and opinions for improving accessibility in products and likely propose various ideas for enhancing accessibility using the new comfort kit and voice controllers.

Hong Seong-min, head of ESG strategy at LG Electronics, said, "It is meaningful to be able to showcase various products launching in North America. We will continue our efforts for 'a better life for everyone' so that customers can trust that by choosing LG Electronics, they are selecting the easiest and most convenient products available."
