SOOP announced on the 7th that it will broadcast the “2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League” live from the 8th on “SOOP.” The “KBO League” can be viewed for free on SOOP’s web page and mobile app from all regions worldwide, except for South Korea.
Since starting global live broadcasts of the “KBO League” in June of last year, SOOP has showcased Korean professional baseball to overseas residents and global baseball fans, providing new viewing opportunities. The live broadcast of the “2024 KBO League,” which ran for about four months, recorded a cumulative viewership of 1.77 million, drawing significant attention.
SOOP will globally broadcast all regular season games and postseason games of this KBO League, including the exhibition games starting from the 8th. Additionally, to accommodate users who miss real-time games, on-demand (VOD) services such as replays and highlights will also be provided.
This year’s “KBO League” regular season will kick off on March 22, with a total of 720 games played, consisting of 144 games per team. This year is particularly expected to be an exciting season due to various issues, including significant player transfers, the performance of rookie players, and the opening of new home stadiums.
In addition to live game broadcasts, diverse biased commentary broadcasts presented by global streamers will also take place. Streamers from North America, Japan, Brazil, and other countries will communicate with users in real-time through SOOP’s multilingual subtitle translation and global chat translation features.
