In the fourth quarter of last year, the global sales growth of eSSD, a high-value NAND flash product for corporations, has been reported to have somewhat slowed down.
According to market research firm TrendForce on the 6th, the demand for eSSD in the fourth quarter of last year remained stable due to the launch of NVIDIA's H series products and demand from Chinese companies.
However, due to the weak consumer electronics market, the rising trend of contract prices has halted, and sales recorded a level similar to the previous quarter. The memory supplier's sales of eSSD in the fourth quarter of last year totaled $7.34 billion, a decrease of 0.5% compared to the previous quarter.
By corporation, Samsung Electronics ranked first with sales of $2.9 billion and a market share of 39.5%. However, due to factors such as order processing delays, sales decreased by 9.4% compared to the previous quarter, and the market share also dropped from 43.4%.
SK hynix, including Solidigm, recorded sales of $2.3 billion, an increase of 11.8% compared to the previous quarter, securing second place. The market share also rose from 27.9% to 31.3%.
Micron, in third place, achieved sales of $1.17 billion, an increase of 1.6% compared to the previous quarter, with a market share of 16%.
