The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) announced on the 5th that they are recruiting corporations to participate in the '2025 Launchpad' and '2025 Overseas Market Joint Pavilion Participation Support' programs aimed at supporting the global expansion of Korean content startups.
The Launchpad is a program that supports global expansion for startups through business meetings, commercialization discussions, and investment attraction in conjunction with local key startup planners (AC). This year, a total of 40 companies will be recruited to participate in events held in four countries: ▲ the United States, ▲ Japan, ▲ Singapore, and ▲ the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Additionally, KOCCA plans to assist the practical overseas expansion of startups through the Overseas Market Joint Pavilion Participation Support Program by helping them establish and expand local business channels. This year, 30 companies will be recruited to participate in joint pavilions in overseas markets in ▲ France, ▲ the UAE, and ▲ Singapore.
Yoo Hyun-seok, the acting president of KOCCA, noted that "KOCCA is conducting support that closely analyzes the characteristics of local markets to activate overseas investment attraction and expansion for content startups" and added, "We will continue to provide in-depth support so that domestic content startups can expand their business channels."
Anyone who is a domestic content corporation established within seven years and wishes to expand overseas can apply for both programs. Further details can be found on KOCCA's website.
