Rebellion announced that on 4th (local time) at the 'Fira Gran Via' in Barcelona, Spain, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Penguin Solutions and SK Telecom during the world's largest mobile exhibition, 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.'

Rebellion has expanded its product lineup not only for cards but also at the server and rack levels based on energy-efficient AI semiconductors. Penguin Solutions is a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure that manages more than 85,000 graphics processing units (GPUs). SK Telecom is accelerating its AI infrastructure business and actively investing in AI infrastructure-related corporations, including Penguin Solutions.

Rebellion will collaborate to build AI infrastructure and create testing environments for corporations. By combining Rebellion's NPU hardware and software technology with Penguin Solutions' infrastructure operational capabilities, it will support corporate clients in validating and deploying NPU-based AI infrastructure. Furthermore, to optimize AI data centers, it will speed up technological collaboration and develop operational solutions for data centers that can support both NPU and GPU.

Park Seong-hyun, CEO of Rebellion, noted, 'As efficient operations have emerged as a key keyword in the AI era following DeepSeek, the energy efficiency and economic viability of AI infrastructure will also become important evaluation criteria for customers,' and added, 'To achieve this, it is essential for corporations with expertise in each field to come together and create synergy, which is why this MOU will be an important first step in building an efficient AI data center ecosystem.'

Mark Simmons, Vice President of Global Marketing at Penguin Solutions, said, 'The expertise accumulated in the high-performance computing (HPC) and AI cluster areas will shine through this collaboration, not only in GPUs but also in NPU infrastructure,' and added, 'We will do our best not only to satisfy customer requirements by providing the latest AI infrastructure in the rapidly growing global AI market but also to solve complex problems and accelerate business performance.'
