LG Uplus has set up a solo exhibition booth at MWC25, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from the 3rd (local time) for four days, showcasing differentiated AI technology and the future landscape transformed by AI.
As AI technology rapidly advances globally, expectations for the future changed by AI are increasing. However, there are also rising concerns about privacy breaches and deepfakes due to the misuse of technology. LG Uplus plans to deliver a message about a 'bright world' where people can be happy, based on AI technology that anyone can use with peace of mind, through MWC25.
Operating its first solo exhibition booth at MWC25, LG Uplus presented ‘Assured Intelligence’ as the core strategy of AI. As concerns regarding privacy breaches, hacking, and smishing using AI grow, this strategy aims to provide AI services that customers can trust in their daily lives. To this end, LG Uplus's MWC25 exhibition is structured around Assured Intelligence zone, ixi zone, Personal AI Agent, and Empowering Growth zone, enhancing everyday convenience based on trustworthy AI services to expedite a happy and bright future for customers.
LG Uplus will showcase the core technologies that form the foundation of reliable AI through the 'Assured Intelligence' zone. This exhibition space will introduce technologies such as 'On-Device sLM,' which ensures personal data does not remain on servers and is only stored on devices, 'Anti-DeepVoice,' which distinguishes AI-generated voices to prevent spam and phishing damages, and 'quantum encryption-based personal security' that encrypts conversation contents to prevent leaks. Visitors will have the opportunity to record their voice, convert it to deepfake audio, and experience how Anti-DeepVoice detects it.
Based on reliable and trustworthy AI, LG Uplus plans to develop services that provide assistance for convenient everyday life, empathetic AI, and AI that helps with growth. The evolving AI services can be checked in the structured 'Personal AI Agent' zone. For instance, the user can actively experience 'Actionable AI' that analyzes call habits, preferences, and relationships to make proactive suggestions.
Additionally, in the 'ixi' zone, which introduces AI solutions to enhance work productivity, various AI technologies will be provided in API form to easily apply AI features to U+ services, such as 'ixi-APIs,' a platform called 'ixi-Studio' that allows non-developers to easily create AI services like chatbots, a code analysis solution for developers called 'ixi-Jihye,' an AI-based content creation editing tool called 'ixi-Editor,' and 'ixi-AQuA,' which allows safe data analysis through natural language questions.
LG Uplus will expand various technologies, including AI, into the industrial sector, planning to support the AI transformation (AX) of partner corporations. The centerpiece of the 'Empowering Growth' zone, which introduces AI-based B2B infrastructure and examples of collaboration with partners, is the AI Data Center (AIDC).
To stably manage the high load of high-performance AI servers, LG Uplus is developing and testing various liquid cooling solutions. The exhibition will showcase next-generation liquid cooling solutions developed in collaboration with partners such as GST, along with AI DCIM, a platform that assists with efficient data center operations. Through AIDC, LG Uplus aims to provide stable infrastructure to corporations utilizing AI, support AX, and continue its eco-friendly initiatives, including reducing carbon emissions through energy-saving solutions and facilities.
LG Uplus will also unveil ‘AICC’ and ‘Vision AI’ to support the operational efficiency of companies that run customer service centers. LG Uplus's AICC combines voice AI technology and text AI technology to automate customer consultations and assist customer service agents. Vision AI technology can quickly analyze documents or key scenes, improving productivity in industrial sites and content creation.
To visually present a bright future centered around 'Assured Intelligence,' LG Uplus has placed 'ixi-FutureVillage' at the center of the exhibition hall. ixi-FutureVillage is a miniature house made of transparent OLED that shows, through 3D animation, how AI resolves the everyday problems of customers including elderly couples, families with young children, and small business owners, set against the backdrop of 2050.
A digital human named ‘Naivis’ and a biped robotic humanoid named ‘Alice’ will also be stationed at the entrance of the exhibition. Naivis, a virtual artist created through collaboration between LG Uplus's generative AI 'ixiGen' and SM Entertainment, will guide visitors through exhibition information and engage in light conversation to enhance anticipation. The biped robot 'Alice,' developed by the robot manufacturer Airobot and equipped with AI ixi, is planning to interact with visitors by asking light quizzes and offering drinks for correct answers.
Jung Hye-yoon, head of LG Uplus's marketing group, said, 'We have planned various AI solutions and services so that visitors from around the world at MWC25 can experience the safe, AI-based bright world that LG Uplus is creating.' She added, 'Moving forward, LG Uplus will strive to secure globally leading AI competitiveness and offer differentiated services.'
