Samsung Electronics announced on the 28th that it will showcase a new mobile experience through the 'Galaxy AI' ecosystem and AI-based next-generation network innovation technologies at the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25) in Barcelona, Spain, which opens on the 3rd (local time).
Samsung Electronics has prepared an exhibition hall of 1,745 square meters (528 pyeong) at the Fira Gran Via exhibition center, designed so that visitors can experience the easy and intuitive Galaxy AI features of the 'Galaxy S25 Series' through various scenarios.
Visitors can experience 'Gemini Live,' which allows information exploration through natural conversation; 'Circle to Search,' which enables easy and fast searching by simply drawing a circle on any screen; 'Now Brief,' which provides personalized information in daily life; and 'Now Bar,' which offers recommended information in real time based on interests and usage context.
Additionally, an AI experience that carries out commands across multiple apps using simple voice commands will also be available. For example, users can summarize the content of a YouTube video directly into Samsung Notes or easily search for restaurant information and share it with friends via message.
Space will also be prepared for visitors to experience the innovative camera features of the 'Galaxy S25 Series.' Visitors can take unique portraits with AI filter options applied and easily find desired photos in the gallery using natural voice commands as if they were conversing. Moreover, users can create high-quality images with just simple sketches using the 'Drawing Assist' feature.
The exhibition hall includes a space where visitors can enjoy the powerful performance of the 'Galaxy S25 Series' through gaming. Visitors can experience high-spec games with optimized performance and enhanced response speed and high-quality graphics using the 'Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy' chipset.
Samsung Electronics will also display the 'Galaxy S25 Edge,' which received a great response during the 'Galaxy Unpacked 2025' event held in January. It is set to showcase the slimmest Galaxy S Series design ever, marking another hardware innovation. Samsung Electronics unveiled the new 'Galaxy A56 5G' and 'Galaxy A36 5G,' both equipped with 'Awesome Intelligence,' a mobile AI applied to the Galaxy A Series that aims to drive the popularization of mobile AI through various Galaxy AI features.
The new 'Galaxy A Series' includes AI-based camera features such as 'Circle to Search,' 'Edit Suggestion,' and 'Object Eraser,' as applied in the existing Galaxy S25 Series. The 'Galaxy A56 5G' is equipped with 'Exynos 1580,' while the 'Galaxy A36 5G' features 'Snapdragon® 6 Gen 3.' Additionally, both models adopt a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, providing an immersive entertainment experience. The new 'Galaxy A Series' is scheduled for a global sequential release starting at the end of March.
Samsung Electronics also presents a personalized health management and smart home experience made easier and more convenient through AI. Visitors can experience the energy score, wellness tips, sleep information, and 'Morning Brief,' which are customized health management features based on Galaxy AI.
Samsung Electronics plans to provide a personalized health AI experience based on a comprehensive understanding of users' health conditions and interests through health management features. Additionally, visitors can explore an enhanced smart home experience with secure connections between devices based on the SmartThings platform and 'Knox Matrix,' offering strengthened security.
The smart home experience will introduce various user-customized features including 3D Map View, energy consumption optimization, Fall Detection, and Pet Activity Tracking.
Additionally, the exhibition hall will showcase how to protect personal data through the 'Personal Data Engine' to prevent access by applications other than Galaxy AI and information security via 'Knox Vault.'
Visitors will also be able to see a prototype of the headset 'Project Infinite,' which is the first to be equipped with the 'Android XR' platform at the exhibition. 'Project Infinite,' combining multimodal AI and cutting-edge XR technology, is set to provide immersive new experiences based on understanding user situations and contexts.
Samsung Electronics has arranged a separate exhibition space at the Fira Gran Via venue to introduce AI-optimized virtual networks and next-generation AI-based solutions to B2B customers, including global telecommunications operators, while presenting the direction for the introduction of AI across networks.
It will showcase network automation solutions, including the Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite, which supports efficient management of the entire process of network installation, operation, and optimization, along with various software solutions for base station energy savings and performance enhancement.
In particular, the AI Energy Saving Manager automatically reviews network environments and traffic changes using advanced AI models and analytical algorithms. This allows for deriving optimal network management solutions while ensuring network quality and flexibly improving energy efficiency by up to 35%.
Samsung Electronics will also showcase use case scenarios of specialized 5G networks in various fields, including manufacturing, construction, transportation, and education. In collaboration with Hyundai Motor, it will reveal the results of testing the 'Reduced Capability, RedCap' technology that can be applied to production car manufacturing processes, marking the industry's first. This technology is characterized by enhanced communication speed, data processing capacity, and stable connectivity with low latency even with lower power compared to existing Wi-Fi used in manufacturing plants.
Previously, specialized 5G networks were limited to high-performance and high-reliability equipment such as automated logistics robots in factories, but with the introduction of RedCap technology, uninterrupted high-speed networks can now be supported for a wider range of equipment used in manufacturing processes, including vehicle inspection equipment, small wireless tools, cameras, and tablet PCs. This presents possibilities for future smart manufacturing solutions.
Furthermore, a newly developed high-performance network chipset lineup, a variety of high-performance, compact, and low-power base station lineups, and next-generation end-to-end virtualization network solutions developed in collaboration with various partners will be exhibited.
