Anthropic, the developer of the artificial intelligence (AI) assistant Claude, announced on the 26th that it will host the Korea Builder Summit on the 19th of next month at Signiel Seoul.

This event marks Anthropic's first official gathering targeting AI developers, technology leaders, and media in Korea. It will be conducted in collaboration with the AI safety corporation Coxwave. Anthropic plans to showcase Claude's functionalities and research achievements during the summit.

Claude is an AI model equipped with reasoning abilities, context comprehension, and complex task handling capabilities, providing translation and business communication support based on an understanding of the Korean language and culture. It is also researching ways to apply a Constitutional AI framework that reflects the characteristics of each culture.

Prominent figures from Anthropic, including Mike Krieger, the co-founder of Instagram and Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Anthropic, and Kate Earle Jensen, Head of Revenue, will attend the summit. They plan to share the direction and use cases of AI technology and discuss the impact of AI on industries with technology stakeholders in Korea.

Jo Zhu, Head of Startup Growth and Partnerships at Anthropic, noted, "Various AI applications utilizing Claude are being developed in Korea," and added, "As Korea's AI technology ecosystem is rapidly growing, we will expand collaboration opportunities in the future."

Kim Ju-won, the CEO of Coxwave, stated, "This event will provide an opportunity for stakeholders in the Korean AI industry to engage with and discuss global AI technology and research trends," and expressed hope that it will serve as a venue for discussing responsible AI development directions.
