NHN announced on the 25th that it has started a global test for the zombie apocalypse game "Darkest Days."

The global test for "Darkest Days" will run from today until March 4 for a total of eight days, allowing global users to participate on both PC and mobile. The PC version will be available through the global game platform Steam's "Steam Next Fest," while the mobile version can be found on Google Play and the App Store.

During this test, three multiplayer modes and the early story mode will be unveiled for the first time globally. In particular, global users will be able to experience the content of ▲"4-player cooperative defense mode" ▲"32-player cooperative boss raid" ▲"conflict zone," which received positive responses during the Korean closed beta test.

"Darkest Days" begins with survivors meeting various community members in the zombie-devastated "Sand Creek." Players will engage in battles against various enemies, from regular zombies to powerful special zombies, through multiplayer modes. ▲"Cooperative defense mode" offers defense-focused gameplay to fend off zombie assaults, while ▲"cooperative raid" allows up to 32 players to enjoy large-scale cooperative combat to defeat bosses. ▲"Conflict zone" features a snowy landscape where players can freely farm and engage in PVP, either solo or in parties of up to four. During the global test period, transaction and payment functions will be limited, and all account information is set to be reset prior to the launch.

Currently, various in-game events are underway to celebrate the global test of "Darkest Days." Survivors can acquire military trucks and various essential items as attendance rewards, and achieving missions and leveling up will provide guaranteed rewards such as Trinity coins and SR-rated armor. Events are also happening simultaneously in official communities such as Naver Lounge, Facebook, X, and Discord.

Kim Sang-ho, head of NHN's gaming division, noted, "The purpose of this test is to raise the awareness of 'Darkest Days' in the global market through participation in 'Steam Next Fest' and to conduct a final check on its potential for success," adding, "We aim to launch the open beta test (OBT) by the end of the first quarter, so we hope for your interest."
