KT announced on the 24th that it has launched the home smart security camera "KT HomeCam Safe." Amid the increased use of home CCTV and growing concerns about hacking, KT has strengthened security by applying AES 256 encryption and allowing access only to authorized users.

This product provides cloud storage services by default, and through AI-based motion and sound detection features, it can save and download specific footage. It supports two-way currency, allowing conversations with family without a mobile phone, and pressing the home cam button enables direct consolidation to the guardian.

The monthly usage fee is 4,400 won, and it is discounted to 3,300 won when using KT Internet Essence (1G) or higher. To celebrate the launch, KT Shop will give 50,000 won worth of Naver Pay to the first 100 customers, and there will also be a prize event for verified customers.

Kwon Hee-geun, head of KT's Marketing Innovation Division, noted, "As the demand for home cams increases, we have introduced a reasonable product that reduces security concerns and price burdens," and added, "We will provide stable services based on KT's network and customer service infrastructure."
