The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (hereinafter referred to as Content Agency) announced on the 17th that they will actively promote the '2025 Content Industry Ecosystem Construction Project' to build and strengthen the K-content ecosystem.

This year's project has a total budget of 21.5 billion won, with various support measures for the growth of startups in the content sector, including ▲support for content startups (commercialization support) ▲support for global advancement ▲operation of infrastructure (provision of workspace and infrastructure).

The content startup support project is divided into four areas according to the growth stage of corporations: ▲support for idea commercialization ▲support linked to accelerators ▲support linked to investment ▲support linked to leading corporations. Plans are in place to collaborate with private institutions such as startup incubation centers, accelerators, investment institutions, and leading corporations to revitalize the creation and startup ecosystem.

The idea commercialization support project is a program that supports potential entrepreneurs with innovative content ideas in connection with startup incubation centers. This year, four incubation centers will select a total of 40 potential entrepreneurs, providing them with startup support vouchers, entrepreneurship development programs, and investment IR training.

The support project linked to accelerators targets content startups within seven years of establishment. Three private accelerators will discover a total of 18 companies, providing each startup with 90 million won in commercialization funds and accelerator-linked programs.

The support project linked to leading corporations connects startup corporations with innovative technologies to assist in pioneering new markets and fostering mutual growth. Ten selected corporations will receive 75 million won in commercialization funds along with tailored consulting, investment, and networking capacity-building programs.

The investment linkage support project aims to assist corporations preparing to attract investment by boosting private investments. A total of 14 corporations will be selected, and each will receive support matching 50% of the private investment amount, up to a maximum of 200 million won.

As part of this project, the Content Agency will recruit private institutions to participate in the idea commercialization support and accelerator linkage support sectors until the 21st. Each of the four selected startup incubation centers will receive 160 million won, while each of the three accelerators will be granted 180 million won.

Institutions wishing to apply must prepare the eligibility requirements and application documents and submit them by 11 a.m. on the 21st via the e-Nara Service. Meanwhile, the 'investment linkage startup leap support project' for corporations preparing for investment will also be posted alongside this announcement.
