Naver Cloud has secured the cloud-based internet PC business from Korea Post, strengthening its leading position in the public cloud market.
This project is a large-scale initiative targeting over 33,000 employees of Korea Post, and after intense competition with five other providers, Naver Cloud was ultimately selected for its technological superiority. Naver Cloud received high praise for boosting work efficiency and security simultaneously by supporting generative AI based on 'Hyperclova X' and the Naver browser 'Whale.'
Recently, influenced by the relaxation of network separation, the expansion of non-face-to-face environments, and rising prices of foreign software, the adoption of cloud-based Desktop as a Service (DaaS) by public institutions and corporations is increasing. This project is expected to serve as a crucial benchmark for the expansion of the DaaS market.
Naver Cloud proposed a solution optimized for Korea Post based on its experience in establishing DaaS for public institutions such as the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Seoul National University Hospital, and the Bank of Korea. Additionally, it plans to provide a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution that allows for stable and efficient operations in collaboration with SK Broadband.
Kang Min-seok, leader of Naver Cloud's public business, noted, 'The goal of this project is to provide high-quality DaaS services and enhanced security, and we will successfully support it to establish ourselves as the industry's top reference.'
