Salesforce announced on the 6th its plans for a 2025 training program aimed at nurturing data talent for the artificial intelligence (AI) era, utilizing its intelligent data analytics platform Tableau.

According to the company, since 2011, Tableau has been providing data analytics software and educational resources free of charge to faculty and students at educational institutions worldwide through its own training program, 'Tableau Academy.'

To date, it has nurtured over 1.5 million data talents globally. In South Korea, it has been operating a data literacy training program in collaboration with nine domestic universities since September 2024.

Salesforce noted that customized practical training reflecting the characteristics of each department and course content received a positive response from domestic universities. The Tableau Academy is designed to enable data utilization in learning not only for students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields but also in the humanities and social sciences.

The program also supports data education to enhance faculty members' understanding of effective data trends and their teaching capabilities.

The company noted it will offer a comprehensive training program covering ▲ basic AI concepts ▲ AI ethics ▲ data-driven decision-making ▲ bias analysis and improvement, essential for enhancing data capabilities in the AI era.

Particularly, it will expand customized educational courses considering the characteristics of each department and conduct training programs by visiting each university. According to Salesforce Korea, Tableau is currently recruiting universities wishing to participate in its training program starting in the first semester of 2025.
