Google Cloud announced on the 3rd that it has obtained a 'Level 1' certification (for Class A groups) under the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP).
The Cloud Security Assurance Program is overseen by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and operates to enhance and ensure the information protection level of cloud services. KISA focused its evaluation on key cloud services including computing, storage, networking, databases, and security of Google Cloud's Seoul Region.
With this certification, Google Cloud is now able to provide cloud services to Korean public institutions. Google Cloud plans to actively support public sector customers in utilizing cloud services while complying with relevant regulations.
Jigi-seong, the President of Google Cloud Korea, noted, "I am pleased to collaborate with more public sector customers in Korea as a trusted partner," and added, "We will provide extensive support to ensure that government agencies can safely implement high-level AI innovations and services with Google Cloud."
