SOCAR announced on the 17th that the cumulative number of subscribers to its annual membership 'Passport' has surpassed 1 million.
'Passport' is the first annual membership introduced by SOCAR in the domestic mobility industry in 2021. It offers discount coupons and credit accumulation benefits when using various SOCAR services such as car sharing, accommodation, and parking. The company explained that it became popular because users can receive benefits exceeding the annual fee by using car sharing or accommodation facilities just once after signing up.
Members who subscribe to Passport have received an average discount benefit of 346,000 won and accumulated 35,000 won in credit since its launch in 2021, enjoying benefits more than 10 times the annual fee. The member who received the most benefits received a total discount of 31.3 million won in lending fees and accumulated 720,000 won in credit, achieving a cost reduction of about 32 million won.
Passport has also achieved significant success in securing loyal customers. Members use vehicles for an average of 2.4 times longer than non-members and have 2.3 times more lending occurrences. One member noted, "I use SOCAR for various purposes from dating and traveling to moving and business trips, and I am consistently using it while receiving many benefits through Passport." Last year, the member with the highest car sharing usage among Passport subscribers completed over 400 rentals and utilized the service for approximately 3,000 hours.
Additionally, it was found that 1 in 3 Passport subscribers belong to the highest tier of SOCAR Club, either VIP Level (accumulated driving distance of over 5,000 km) or Level 7 (over 3,000 km). SOCAR Club is a tiered system that offers discounts on vehicle damage liability products, exclusive coupons, VIP benefits, and more based on accumulated driving distance, providing various benefits as the level increases.
