LG HelloVision announced on the 16th that it will launch the original entertainment program "MAKE ME Girl".
"MAKE ME Girl" is a solution entertainment program that receives stories from women struggling with severe complexes, low self-esteem, and inconveniences in daily life, where medical, fashion, and beauty experts gather to provide tailored solutions. Yoo Ri, Monica, and Um Ji-yoon are the hosts.
"MAKE ME Girl" is the second makeover entertainment program presented by The Life Channel and is drawing attention. Following the buzz from the male makeover program "MAKE Mi-nam," which ended in March, it returns as a program for women. The second episode of "MAKE ME Girl," set to be released on the 17th, is themed "Goddess of the Remote." A participant with a model physique will appear, creating expectations and curiosity among viewers with a story reminiscent of a real-life Mask Girl.
The first episode, "24 hours are not enough," which aired last week, recorded the second highest viewership among women in their 20s nationwide during the same time slot, marking a significant start. A participant with a prestigious university background who lost 70 kg from 130 kg successfully underwent a makeover, capturing the viewers' attention. Particularly, the program not only transformed the protagonist's appearance but also provided psychological healing and restored confidence, resonating with numerous women in their 20s and 30s.
To bolster women’s confidence, carefully selected experts from various fields take charge. The fun of seeing the transformed appearance of participants through mental, dental, plastic surgery, body exercise, as well as renowned idol stylists and hair and makeup artists, is a key point. The heartfelt stories of the female participants also provide emotional impact for viewers.
Bang Woo-tae, a director at LG HelloVision, noted, "MAKE ME Girl is not just about changing appearances; it's a comprehensive solution entertainment program that brings participants' dreams to reality and transforms their hearts as well." He emphasized that the program's differentiating factor lies in the three MCs at the top of their fields matching with participants on a 1:1 basis for management.
