The Israel Defense Forces announced that it conducted airstrikes on large underground facilities in the mountainous area near Nabatiye, Lebanon, where the Iran-aligned militant group Hezbollah attempted to rebuild on the 26th (local time).
On that day, the Israel Defense Forces noted that they had identified Hezbollah's attempts to rebuild a facility that had been put out of operation due to earlier airstrikes, stating, "The existence of this facility and the attempt to rebuild it is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon."
The Israel Defense Forces stated, "We will not tolerate Hezbollah operating here and will continue to act to eliminate all threats to Israel."
Lebanon's state-run NNA news agency reported, "Israel's airstrike on an apartment in Nabatiye resulted in one person dead and 13 injured."
Since the outbreak of the war in Gaza in October 2023, Israel and Hezbollah, which have been in continuous conflict, agreed to a ceasefire in November last year. However, Israel has continued airstrikes, citing issues with the withdrawal of Hezbollah troops from southern Lebanon.
