On that day, President Trump stated at an event in the White House in Washington, D.C., to promote the so-called 'one big, beautiful bill' reflecting his major policy agenda, "We just signed with China yesterday."

President Trump did not specify what the agreement with China entailed, but it is suggested that it is likely a deal signed following the first negotiations held in Geneva last month and the second U.S.-China high-level trade negotiations held in London on the 9th and 10th of this month.

Previously, the U.S. and China reached an agreement in London regarding the lifting of China's export controls on rare earth materials to the U.S., allowing Chinese students in the U.S. to remain, and easing export controls on advanced semiconductors and related technologies to China.

On that day, President Trump also noted, "We are pursuing some massive agreements," and added, "The upcoming agreement will likely be a very large deal to open the Indian market with India." The U.S. has already reached an agreement with the United Kingdom regarding mutual tariffs, and India has been identified as the next target for an agreement.
