Iran responded to the U.S. attack on its nuclear facilities with missile strikes. Previously, Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, noted that this would result in "eternal consequences" for the U.S.

On the 21st (local time), Iran's state TV reported that Iran launched new missiles at Israel, according to AFP.

Multiple foreign media also reported that several explosions were heard over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces also reported that sirens went off in multiple regions of Israel due to missiles launched from Iran. They further stated that they were conducting interception operations to eliminate the missile threat.

Earlier, Araghchi, the Minister, indicated on X (formerly Twitter) that the United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, seriously violated the UN Charter, international law, and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities, stating, "Iran has all options to protect its sovereignty, interests, and people."
