The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 19 of our citizens who were staying in Iran safely arrived in Turkmenistan on the afternoon of the 21st (local time).
This group, which includes one administrative staff member from the South Korean embassy in Iran and five family members of the diplomatic staff, arrived in Turkmenistan by land via transport provided by the government.
As of that day, a total of 56 people among the local Korean residents had evacuated to Turkmenistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is providing necessary consular assistance, including support for entry and exit procedures, guidance on local accommodation, and information on return flights, to ensure the safe evacuation of its citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, 'The government is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and will continue to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of our citizens staying in the region.'
