The Associated Press reported on the 18th (local time) that at least 585 people have died and 1,326 have been injured across Iran, citing the Iran Human Rights Organization (HRA), based in the United States. The organization noted that among the deceased, 239 were civilians and 126 were security personnel.

HRA is an organization that provided reliable casualty figures during the nationwide protests that erupted following the death of Mahsa Amini during the 'hijab protests' in 2022, and it explained that it compiles numbers through local reports and its own information network.

The Iranian government tends not to frequently disclose the number of casualties during the period of conflict, and the Associated Press reported that there are precedents where actual figures have been downplayed in the past.

The last statistics announced by Iranian authorities were as of the 16th, at which time 224 deaths and 1,277 injuries were reported.
