It is reported that an Indian billionaire businessman died after suffering an acute allergic reaction due to swallowing a bee during exercise.

According to Forbes and the New York Post on the 17th (local time), Sunjay Kapur (53), chairman of the Indian auto parts company Sonacomstar, died of a heart attack during a polo match in the United Kingdom on the 12th. Polo is a game in which players ride horses and use a stick to hit a ball into a goal.

Kapur reportedly showed a sudden allergic reaction after swallowing a bee during the polo match in the United Kingdom. The Daily Telegraph reported, "After being stung by a bee in his mouth, anaphylactic shock may have occurred, which could have led to the heart attack."

Kapur was the chairman of Sonacomstar, headquartered in Gurugram, India, and the company has 12 production facilities and more than 5,000 employees in India, China, Mexico, Serbia, and the United States.

Sonacomstar expressed condolences in a statement, saying, "Chairman Kapur's vision and dedication led the company’s identity and success."

According to Forbes, Kapur's net worth at the time of his death was about $1.2 billion (approximately 1.63 trillion won), ranking him 2,703rd among the world's richest individuals. He is also known to be closely acquainted with Prince William of the United Kingdom.
