As armed clashes between Israel and Iran intensify, the U.S. Embassy in Israel located in Jerusalem has been closed since 17th (local time), and all employees have been instructed to remain at home.

The U.S. Embassy in Israel posted an urgent safety notice on its official website on 16th, stating, "Considering the guidelines from the Israel Home Front Command and the security situation, the embassy in Jerusalem will be closed from 17th."

The embassy also informed that all consular services, including passport issuance at the offices in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, would be suspended.

Additionally, the embassy directed that due to the ongoing conflict and security situation between Israel and Iran, all U.S. government employees and their families should remain in a state of evacuation at home or nearby until further notice.
