The Israel Defense Forces claimed that they destroyed about one-third of the missile launchers held by Iran in airstrikes that began on the 13th (local time).
The Israel Defense Forces stated that they mobilized over 50 fighter jets and aircraft to destroy more than 120 rent(expense) to ground missiles. In particular, they struck over 20 missiles and movable launchers, missile storage facilities, and production facilities in Isfahan, central Iran, noting that as a result of the airstrikes, Iran launched only half of the missiles it had planned.
Additionally, the Israeli Navy shot down eight unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran using a Saar 6-class missile boat, explaining that this marked the first instance of the Barak-Magen air defense system and LRAD missiles being used in actual combat. This airstrike appears to be in response to Iran's attack on Tel Aviv. The Iranian airstrikes resulted in the deaths of eight Israeli civilians and injuries to dozens. The U.S. embassy branch in Tel Aviv also sustained some damage.
The Israel Defense Forces also announced that they struck senior personnel of the Iranian intelligence agency in Tehran, killing four individuals, including Mohammad Kazemi, the intelligence commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Mohsen Bakri, the director of the Quds Force intelligence.
